Screen printing is one of my favorite things to do. It's so fun to deal with something so physical and tactile. Watching your work come to life onto fabric or paper is such a fun thing to experience.In these prints,

I dyed the cotton fabric and screen printed on top of the fabric with both inks and dyes. The wolf fabric was done with dyes that I mixed individually, choosing colors that would reflect the colors of my heritage. The "paisley" print was printed with blue metallic ink, to contrast the bright, warm-colored yellow fabric.

Initially, I typically start with a sketched pattern and once I'm happy with it, I develop it further through digital programs.
